CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga – Two suspects in the robbery-holdup of a convenience store in Hermosa, Bataan were arrested by authorities on Thursday.

In a statement on Friday, the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO 3) said the two –alias “JR” and “Gil”– were arrested in Brgy. Saguing in Dinalupihan town a day after the robbery incident.

The suspects “were found in possession of crucial evidence linking them to the robbery,” PRO 3 said.

Also seized from the two were PHP8,500 in cash, a pellet gun resembling a .45 caliber firearm, two motorcycle helmets, a face cover, and a black/gray Suzuki Smash motorcycle that was believed to have been used during the heist.

Both suspects are facing robbery charges while “JR” will be charged under Republic Act 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act and for violation of the election gun ban.

“Police are further investigating their potential involvement in other criminal activities,” PRO 3 said.

PRO 3 is encouraging the public to stay vigilant and report any suspicious activities to authorities as part of its intensified efforts to maintain peace and order in Central Luzon. (PNA)
