MANILA – Three more cars linked to the controversial contractor couple Pacifico “Curlee” and Cezarah Rowena “Sarah” Discaya have been sold through public auction of the Bureau of Customs (BOC) on Wednesday.
The auction raised a revenue collection of PHP25.7 million from the sale of a Lincoln Navigator 2024, a Cadillac Escalade ESV 2022 and a Bentley Bentayga 2022.
Igorot Stone Kingdom, represented by its founder Pio Velasco, successfully bid for the Cadillac amounting to PHP6.6 million. The same company bid for the Rolls-Royce Cullinan at the auction held last month.
The other two winning bidders were Cantinetta Espresso Concepts for the Lincoln Navigator amounting to PHP6.9 million and TDY Consumer Goods Trading for the Bentley worth PHP12.1 million.
A total of 12 vehicles were part of the public auction. However, the BOC declared failed biddings for the nine cars as there were no bidders that participated in the process.
The unsold cars are a Ferrari SF90 Stradale (Mansory) 2024, a Rolls Royce Phantom 2023, a Mercedes-Benz G650 V12 Biturbo 2022, a BMW XM 2024, a Lexus LX570 2018, a GMC Yukon Denali 2022, a Cadillac Escalade 2021, a Maserati Levante Modena 2022 and a GMC Yukon XL Denali 2022.
The agency said the revenue would be remitted to the Bureau of Treasury to finance government projects. (PNA)
