LEGAZPI CITY – A total of PHP5.7 million worth of illegal drugs were confiscated and 35 drug suspects were arrested in a weeklong anti-illegal drug operations, Police Regional Office in Bicol (PRO-5) reported Tuesday.
Some 12.80 grams of marijuana and 839.45 grams of shabu were confiscated from 29 operations from March 23 to 29, PRO-5 acting director Brig. Gen. Erosito Miranda said.
Among the arrested were three high-value individuals and 32 street-level offenders. Authorities have filed 38 cases against the arrested suspects.
Miranda lauded the operating units for their dedication, vigilance and professionalism in conducting anti-illegal drug operations.
“We remain relentless in our campaign against illegal drugs and will continue to intensify our efforts to dismantle drug networks operating in the region,” Miranda said. (PNA)
