MANILA – Authorities seized PHP306.86 million worth of illegal drugs and arrested 101 suspects in a seven-day operation, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) said Monday.

The 37 operations were conducted from Feb. 13 to 20, according to PDEA Director General Isagani Nerez in a statement.

Confiscated drugs included 16,614.65 grams of suspected shabu, 66,011 marijuana plants, and 4,266 grams of dried marijuana leaves.

Among those arrested were 22 drug pushers and 19 drug den owners or maintainers, PDEA said.

All suspects will be charged under Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. The seized items are in custody for forensic examination and court proceedings.

“This was a week of relentless pursuit and precision interdiction. We did not merely arrest street-level pushers, we suppressed supply chains, disrupted distribution hubs, and uprooted cultivation sites,” Nerez said.

PDEA said the multi-agency, inter-regional operations underscore the government’s strengthened intelligence-sharing mechanisms, unified command structure and relentless operational tempo. (PNA)
