CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga – Five most wanted persons in Central Luzon were arrested on Tuesday in separate police operations in Bataan, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, and Tarlac, according to the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO-3).

In a news release on Wednesday, PRO-3 identified the arrested individuals as Alfredo Magno, 45, who was nabbed in Victoria, Tarlac; Raul Atencio Jr., 35, in Pilar, Bataan; Renato Almario Jr., 40, in Meycauayan, Bulacan; Julius Santiago, in Santa Rosa, Nueva Ecija; and John Carlo Dela Cruz, 22, in San Rafael, Bulacan.

The five are facing charges ranging from acts of lasciviousness to carnapping to murder, and have pending arrest warrants issued against them by local courts.

The arrests were “in line with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s directive to intensify the government’s campaign against criminality and ensure public safety,” the PRO-3 said.

PRO-3 chief Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo lauded the successful operations, saying the arrests are clear proof of the regional police’s “relentless efforts and unwavering commitment to heed the President’s call to boost police visibility and presence for safer and more secure communities.” (PNA)
