CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga – Police in Central Luzon arrested five of the region’s most wanted individuals in separate operations on Monday, the Police Regional Office (PRO) 3 reported on Tuesday.

First to fall into government hands was Marcial Tuazon, 52, who was arrested in Muñoz, Nueva Ecija at 9:25 a.m. The PRO-3 said he was wanted for statutory rape and was ordered arrested by Nueva Ecija Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 88. No bail was recommended for his temporary release.

In San Jose del Monte, Bulacan, 29-year-old Kayshene Gabuan was arrested at 11:20 a.m. in connection with the two counts of statutory rape he is facing before the Bulacan RTC Branch 5-FC.

PRO-3 said Gabuan is the top 8 most wanted criminal at the provincial level, and that no bail was recommended for his release.

Minutes later, at 11:30 a.m., law enforcement authorities in Olongapo City arrested Ariel Ramos Alog alias “Tito Aye,” No. 4 on the regional most wanted list, for qualified rape and acts of lasciviousness, PRO-3 said. A PHP200,000 bail was recommended for his release.

Another high-profile arrest took place at 12:30 p.m., this time in Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija, where police nabbed Dick Bernardino, 56, who was wanted for statutory rape and five counts of violations of Republic Act (RA) 7610 or the Child Abuse Law.

While no bail was recommended for statutory rape, a PHP1,000,000 bail was set for the RA 7610 violations.

Meanwhile, in San Fernando, Pampanga, police arrested Reyneir Luna at 1:20 p.m. The top 5 most wanted at the provincial level, Luna is facing charges for violations of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act before Pampanga RTC Branch 54. The court issued a no-bail warrant against him for Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs) and set a PHP200,000 bail for Section 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs).

“These arrests send a strong message —there is no escape for criminals,” PRO-3 Director Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo said in a statement. “The Philippine National Police will remain relentless in its mission to ensure that fugitives face justice and that Central Luzon remains a safe place for its people.” (PNA)
