MANILA – The Philippine National Police-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) arrested 85 wanted persons during two-day operations across the country.
In a press release on Sunday, CIDG Director Maj. Gen. Nicolas Torre said the arrests conducted on May 14 and 15 involved individuals wanted for crimes such as murder, rape, cybercrime, estafa, illegal recruitment and drug offenses.
Thirty-eight were nabbed in Luzon while 33 and 14 were captured in Mindanao and Visayas, respectively.
Six were regional-level most wanted persons, while eight were listed at the provincial level.
In a separate operation, CIDG agents raided Hokka Tower II in Binondo, Manila on May 16, arresting four suspects for illegally selling Lishou Slimming Coffee, valued at PHP300,000.
The product was reportedly unregistered with the Food and Drug Administration. (PNA)
