MANILA – Adamson University dumped Far Eastern University-Diliman, 76-66, to keep solo leadership in the UAAP Season 86 boys’ basketball at Filoil EcoOil Centre in San Juan City on Sunday.

The Falcons, now at 9-1, were led by Vince Reyes who produced 16 points, six rebounds, four assists, two steals and one block.

Justine Garcia scored 14 points, while Mark Esperanza and Earl Medina added 13 and 12 points, respectively.

Veejay Pre had 26 points, 10 rebounds and two blocks for FEU, which took its fifth loss in 10 outings.

In the other game, the University of the Philippines Integrated School barged into the win column after nine tries with an 80-71 victory over the University of the East.

Daryl Valdeavilla led the Fighting Maroons with 26 points, including six triples, to go with four rebounds, three assists and one steal.

Jaime Gomez De Liano and Rocco Melicor chipped in 14 points each, Nathan Egea scored 13, and Bruce Tubongbanua added 10 points for UPIS.

The Diliman boys likewise avenged their 77-93 first-round loss to the young Warriors on Dec. 17, 2023.

De Liano and Egea also hauled down 10 rebounds apiece.

Mark Jade Sarza and Lance Sabroso delivered 16 points each for UE, while John Edry Alejandro contributed 13 points, 18 rebounds, four assists and one steal for UE (4-6). (PNA)
