MANILA – Filipino Rubilen Amit pulled off an 8-4 victory over American Briana Miller Saturday to secure her third win in the World Professional Billiard Association (WPBA) Raxx Mezz Olhausen CPBA Invitational in New York, USA.
The Cebuana’s earlier victories were over Canadian Brittany Bryant, 8-0, and American Amanda Mann, 8-3.
Amit will be up next against Russian Kristina Tkach in the tournament featuring 64 players. The elimination round has a race to 8 format while the final is a race to 10.
Meanwhile, Filipinos Roland Garcia and Carlo Biado forged a semifinal showdown in the US Open One Pocket Championship in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Garcia downed Canadian John Morra, 4-2, while Biado demolished American Tony Chohan, 4-0. (PNA)
