Saying that she has a soft spot for children, actress Anne Curtis said she dreams of becoming a preschool teacher one day.

And she is now a step closer to reaching this dream – the actress said she has enrolled in an open university in Australia.

“I’m very, very happy that I was able to enroll. It’s an open university in Australia. Sa open university in Australia, it depends on what unit, or what topic, or what subject you want to take up. It will put you in the right college. Right now, I did English Literature. In the upcoming semester, I will be doing Early Education,” the Fil-Australian actress said.

Yes, gusto kong maging preschool teacher one day. Alam ko na hindi ko siya matatapos in four year, which is when you are full-time, but the whole point na they encourage you to pursue ‘yung studies mo kahit in the long run, kahit ilang units lang ‘yung kukunin mo [is a good thing]. ‘Yung English Literature nga, I’m just very lucky na kahit na mag-switch ako, sabi nila, it’s still an elective. So isa ‘yan sa mga pangarap ko, na maka-graduate ng college,” she added.

Aside from being a preschool teacher, Curtis said she also wants to hold another major concert, and to put up her own business.

The actress and one of the country’s top product endorsers held her first concert last year at the Araneta Coliseum.

Sa MOA (Mall of Asia) naman. Dreams do come true, ‘di ba? Ewan ko ba, tignan natin,” she said.

There are so many things in life that I still want to do. Outside doon sa showbiz ay ‘yung sarili kong business naman. Na alam mo na, related to something I love, maybe fashion, lipstick. Basta something to do with that,” she added.

Curtis is currently one of the hosts of the ABS-CBN noontime program “It’s Showtime.” (MNS)
