MANILA (Mabuhay) – President Benigno Aquino III on Monday enjoined new officers of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) to resist corruption.
During the graduation rites of the AFP Officer Candidate Courses, Aquino said military officials should muster strength to clean their ranks.
Aquino, who won in 2010 on an anti-corruption platform, also told AFP officials that his administration’s drive against corrupt officials are already bearing fruit.
He said his presidency has succeeded in bringing back the people’s trust in government.
(MNS)
