MANILA, Jan 10 (Mabuhay) – Authorities once again raided the New Bilibid Prison (NBP) in Muntinlupa City on Saturday morning.

More than 50 members of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and the local police of Muntinlupa stormed buildings 4, 5 and 8 of the NBP compound at 6:30 a.m.

A member of the raiding team who declined to be identified said that aside from confiscating contraband items, the operation also aimed to get the inmate who lobbed a grenade at the building 5 area last Thursday morning.

The explosion killed one inmate and left 19 others injured.
