They only have one scene together but Dawn Zulueta is all praises for Bea Alonzo’s performance in their upcoming movie “The Love Affair.”

“Na-excite when I found out that we were going to work with Bea. I never [thought] that I would have an opportunity to work with her. But fortunately and unfortunately, we only had one scene but it’s to watch out for,” Zulueta said.

Alonzo, however, got to shoot more scenes with Richard Gomez.

“Natutunan ko siguro kay Kuya Goma ang pagiging not so serious niya about life. You shouldn’t take life or anything not so seriously. You just have to have fun every day. Ako, tinitingala ko siya because he’s like that. Kaya niya magkaroon ng ibang mundo aside from show business and be happy,” she said.

Zulueta stressed that while “The Love Affair” is not just another mistress movie.

“It looks that way but it’s not really what it is. Its focus really is more on the characters and what they are going through. Each character kasi is going through the phase na they need happiness, they need forgiveness and healing. People will be able to relate to this because the characters are very real,” she said.

In the movie, Zulueta and Gomez play a married couple undergoing problems in their relationship. Alonzo plays a lawyer.

Alonzo said it was a dream come true to share the big screen with Zulueta and Gomez, whose love team’s popularity dates back to the early ‘90s.

“Pinapanood ko sila. My God, ‘Hihintayin Kita sa Langit.’ Siyempre hindi na ako nagdalawang isip. Oo na agad kasi hindi naman ito laging nangyayari,” she said.

Set to be released in late this month, “The Love Affair” is another Star Cinema production. (MNS)
