Raymart Santiago and Bettinna Carlos have both repeatedly denied rumors that a relationship is brewing between them.
It seems the issue is gaining traction, however, with people speculating that they are already living together. The matter escalated when Bettinna and Raymart posted photos on their respective Instagram accounts that were seemingly taken in the same location – later identified as Raymart’s condo unit.
While the actress readily acknowledged that the photo, a solo shot of her daughter Amanda Lucia, was indeed taken at Raymart’s unit, she stated that they were there only at the latter’s invitation for a “potluck dinner.”
She maintained that, aside from her daughter, they were “people from the production” of the now-defunct series “Villa Quintana” where they worked together.
Bettinna insisted there is “no truth” to the living in rumor, saying, “Ang purpose ko lang ay picturan ‘yung anak ko tapos nagawan na ng ganung issue na nag live-in kami.”
She maintained that despite her seeming closeness to Raymart, romance isn’t necessarily in the offing.
“Pwede ako ma-in love kahit kanino pero depende ‘yan sa pintig ng puso mo,” Bettina said.
“Kung kay Raymart, siyempre I completely understand the situation that he’s in, ‘yung sa mga anak niya, problem sa marriage niya (with Claudine Barretto), and I’m not one to meddle into something I know is dangerous.”
Still, she admitted, “I am not closing my doors on anything and anyone dahil ang tadhana ko ay hindi ko hawak. It’s just a matter of who will come along, sinong maglalakas ng loob (manilgaw) at kanino titibok ang puso ko.”
Bettinna wishes that people would stop dragging Claudine’s name in her issue with Raymart.
“’Wag na lang po sana nila kaming pagbanggain. I’m sure Claudine also wants to have a peaceful life. With all their legal battles, I know everyone is trying to minimize the gulo,” she related.
The Kapuso actress said that she and Claudine were never formally introduced but she sees no reason “para awayin niya (Claudine) ako.”
Not one to dwell on rumors, Bettinna happily shared that her daughter is slowly following in her footsteps. In fact, three-year-old Amanda Lucia already made several TV appearances, the latest being on the talk show “Basta Every Day, Happy.”
Just recently, Bettinna and Amanda have been tapped as brand ambassadors of Indonesian brand Indomie instant noodles. (MNS)
