MANILA – The Bureau of Immigration (BI) recently intercepted an Australian hacker who tried to enter the Philippines.
Commissioner Norman Tansingco, in a statement Tuesday, said the BI’s Border Control and Enforcement Unit intercepted Risteski Borche, 40, an Australian of Macedonian descent.
He attempted to enter the Philippines onboard a Cebu Pacific flight from Sydney at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 last Dec. 21.
The BI said Borche is the subject of an alert from the International Criminal Police Organization.
Borche is wanted in Macedonia for unauthorized entering into a computer system, in violation of Article 251 of the country’s Criminal Code and is facing a four-year jail term.
Tansingco said Borche was recommended to be included in the blacklist of the Bureau. (PNA)
