MANILA – The Bureau of Immigration (BI) confirmed on Tuesday that Mylah Roque, the wife of former presidential spokesperson Harry Roque Jr., is no longer in the country.

BI spokesperson Dana Sandoval said Mrs. Roque left the country for Singapore on Sept. 3.

“Her lookout bulletin was issued on Sept 16, so she is not in the country right now,” the BI official said in a Bagong Pilipinas Ngayon briefing.

On the other hand, Sandoval said based on their data, the former Palace official has not left the country.

“While former spokesperson Harry Roque has no recent departure as per our record and he has an immigration lookout bulletin (ILBO) which was issued on Aug. 6,” she added.

Roque’s wife was recently cited for contempt by the House of Representatives Quad Committee, which ordered her arrest after she failed to respond to a subpoena from the panel.

The committee is investigating the links of Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGOs) to the illegal drug trade and extra-judicial killings under the previous administration.

Meanwhile, the Philippine National Police (PNP) said its tracker teams were sparing no effort in searching for the former Palace spokesperson.

“We are encountering some challenges but we are not giving excuses, what we can give right now is our commitment. We will not stop looking for Atty. Roque but also for other wanted personalities,” PNP spokesperson Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo said in a press briefing at Camp Crame, Quezon City. (With Lloyd Caliwan/PNA)
