LEGAZPI CITY – The Police Regional Office in Bicol (PRO-5) reported on Tuesday that 12 wanted individuals were apprehended during a series of manhunt operations conducted on Monday.
In a statement, PRO-5 Director Brig. Gen. Andre Dizon said among those arrested was ‘Juan’, a 47-year-old resident of Irosin, Sorsogon, listed as Bicol’s No. 9 Regional Most Wanted Person.
He was arrested in Sual, Pangasinan, by personnel from the Irosin Municipal Police Station (MPS) in coordination with the Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU) of the Sorsogon Police Provincial Office, under a warrant for rape.
Another notable arrest involved a man known by the alias “Roger,” the most wanted individual in Masbate province. He was arrested at his residence in the province’s Cawayan town.
He is a high-ranking member of the communist New People’s Army and served as the commanding officer of Platoon 2, Kilusang Larangan Guerilla South, Sub-Regional Committee 4, Bicol Regional Party Committee.
Roger, operating in the 3rd District of Masbate, is wanted for two counts of murder.
Dizon reported that the PRO-5 also arrested two additional fugitives in Masbate, four in Albay, one in Camarines Norte, one in Naga City, and two in Sorsogon.
“These operations demonstrate PRO-5’s strategic coordination, intelligence-driven policing, and persistent efforts to enforce the law and uphold justice.
