MANILA – A hefty price increase on diesel products will greet motorists before Christmas.
In separate advisories on Monday, Caltex, Cleanfuel, Petro Gazz, PTT, Seaoil, and Shell will hike diesel prices by PHP1.45 per liter while adjusting gasoline prices by 50 centavos higher.
Caltex, Seaoil, and Shell, likewise, will increase kerosene prices by 75 centavos per liter.
This is the second straight week that oil firms have implemented price increase.
With the price hike last week, retail prices of gasoline range between PHP50.75 and PHP74.20 per liter; diesel, from PHP49 to PHP70 per liter; and kerosene from PHP61.98 to PHP80.94 per liter.
“Year-to-date, total adjustment of gasoline and diesel stands at a net increase of PHP12.55 per liter and PHP9.85 per liter, respectively. On the other hand, kerosene has a total net decrease of PHP2.55 per liter,” the Department of Energy said. (PNA)
