CALAMBA CITY, Laguna – Four individuals listed as regional most wanted persons and facing charges of murder, illegal recruitment, rape, and qualified rape of a minor were arrested in separate police operations in Cavite and Laguna, the Police Regional Office (PRO) Calabarzon reported Tuesday.

Brig. Gen. Paul Kenneth T. Lucas, Calabarzon police regional director, said the arrests were carried out on Monday in Silang, Dasmariñas, and Tanza in Cavite, and in San Pedro City, Laguna.

In Cavite, the first to fall was alias “Luloy,” nabbed in Barangay Kaong, Silang, for murder. Hours later, alias “Karen” was caught along Congressional Road, Dasmariñas City, for violating the Migrant Workers and Overseas Filipinos Act. In the evening, alias “Francis” was arrested in Barangay Tres Cruses, Tanza, for two counts of rape.

In Laguna, alias “Victor,” 51, was arrested in Barangay San Antonio, San Pedro City, for qualified rape of a minor. No bail was recommended for any of the suspects.

Lucas said the operations were conducted in compliance with the Supreme Court’s A.M. No. 21-06-08-SC, which requires the use of body-worn cameras and other recording devices when serving warrants.

“These successful arrests prove that criminals have no place in our region and cannot escape the hands of the law,” Lucas said in Filipino.

He added that the accomplishments align with the 7-Point Agenda of acting Philippine National Police Chief Lt. Gen. Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., which aims to strengthen police strategy and law enforcement effectiveness.

The suspects are now in the custody of their respective police stations, with warrants to be returned to the issuing courts for proper documentation. (PNA)
