MANILA, Feb 2 (Mabuhay) — Downward trend of COVID-19 cases were seen in highly-urbanized cities in Visayas, but the areas remained at high to very high risk, the OCTA Research reported Wednesday.

In a tweet, OCTA Research fellow Dr. Guido David said as of February 1, Bacolod, Cebu City, Iloilo City, and Mandaue remained at very high risk, while Lapu Lapu, Ormoc, and Tacloban were at high risk.

Iloilo City had an average daily attack rate of 64.06%; Cebu City had 40.32%; Bacolod had 27.26%; and Mandaue had 29.99%.

ADAR pertains to the incidence showing the average number of new cases in a period per 100,000 people.

Iloilo City’s positivity rate was at 35%; Cebu City had 26%; Bacolod had 42%; and Mandaue had 29%.

Lapu Lapu meanwhile had an ADAR of 39.83%; Ormoc had 9.12% and Tacloban had 15.62%. (MNS)
