MANILA, Apr 16 (Mabuhay) — Dingdong Dantes took to Instagram to share his fitness journey, losing 21 lbs in 9 weeks.
Dingdong recently posted a photo of himself working out on a static bike trainer.
In the caption, he said he is entering the ” 9th week into this wholistic, transformative and challenging exercise of trying to stay physically, emotionally and mentally healthy.
Dingdong said, “Buying a bike trainer is probably the best investment that I made when the lockdown started last year.”
The Kapuso Primetime King said doing a workout on the bike trainer “has become a morning ritual, where good friends and I would share workouts—and even ideas on how to survive this Pandemic.”
He also revealed that during one of these sessions, his decision to pursue his business DingDong PH happened.
More than the physical benefits, Dingdong said he truly looks forward to his morning routine “because it is something that I did not have the privilege of doing for the past 20 years due to the nature of my work.”
“I also used this time to have the opportunity to listen to audiobooks, watch masterclasses, and reflect on spiritual videos,” he added.
However, the Kapuso actor said he found himself “gradually missing my morning sessions that my weight reached an all-time high of 210 lbs or 95 kgs.”
Dingdong recommitted himself to a lifestyle change with the help of some of his friends last February, “and in 9 weeks, I have lost 21 pounds.”
“I am still on my way through to achieving my goal in the coming months,” he wrote.
Dingdong admitted that “it is definitely not easy, and it will definitely not get easier.”
“But with the proper motivation— my loved ones and my work who truly deserve my best self— I know I will be able to reach my target.”
For Dingdong, it’s only about looking good but feeling strong, sharp, and happy. (MNS)
