CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga – In line with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s intensified campaign against illegal drugs, the Provincial Regional Office-Central Luzon (PRO-3) conducted two separate operations that resulted in the arrest of two suspects and the seizure of PHP1.3 million worth of shabu.

In a statement on Sunday, the PRO-3 said the first operation was conducted in Barangay Panginay, Guiguinto, Bulacan on May 22, resulting in the arrest of a 44-year-old suspect, alias “Anok,” who is on the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency’s unified drug watchlist.

The operatives confiscated 96.42 grams of shabu worth PHP665,600, a .380 caliber pistol, and marked buy-bust money.

On the same day, the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit-3 and Guagua Municipal Police Station operatives also arrested a high-value individual, alias “Bert,” 40, and seized 100 grams of shabu worth PHP680,000.

Appropriate charges are being prepared against the two suspects in connection with the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2022.

Anok will face additional charges for violating the election gun ban.

PRO-3 chief Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo said the arrest of two suspects reflects the police’s dedication in fighting illegal drugs.

“We will continue to intensify our efforts to ensure peace and order across the region. We also call on the public to support our campaign and report any suspicious activities in their communities,” she said. (PNA)
