MANILA, Feb 8 (Mabuhay) — After being absent for over two weeks, President Rodrigo Duterte on Monday narrated how he was exposed to a COVID-19 patient, who was his aide.

In his Talk to the People, Duterte said he was exposed to someone who was concerned about his health when he had an accident while riding a motorcycle.

The aide, who was not named, might also have skipped mandatory quarantine, Duterte claimed.

Iyon, pag-alis ko exposed ako,” said Duterte.

But Duterte explained that upon arriving in Malacañang, he had a check up but tested negative for the virus. He added that he was not infected because he had completed his vaccination.

“Pagdating naman dito una kong nakita ko negative, wala silang nakita… wala anong klaseng it does not show anything but dinala ako ng doktor ko. Chi-neck up ako tapos inenjecksyunan ako I don’t know.

(MNS)
