WASHINGTON, DC—Now on its 20th year of continuing recognition of Filipino-American students, the Philippine American Foundation for Charities, Inc. (PAFC), with the support of the Philippine Embassy, invites the public to submit nominations for the Dr. Jose Rizal Youth Awards.

This annual Award offers recognition to deserving Filipino-American students in the Metropolitan Washington area.   They are conferred to outstanding students, who exhibit intellectual curiosity and social responsibility, two of the many qualities personified to its highest level by the Philippines’ national hero, Dr. Jose Rizal.

The awards ceremony will be held on 17 November 2012, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Romulo Hall of the Philippine Embassy at 1600 Massachusetts Ave. NW, Washington, DC.
