LAOAG CITY – A magnitude 5.0 earthquake hit Dalupiri Island in Calayan, Cagayan on Friday morning, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).
The earthquake, which was tectonic in origin, occurred at 10:45 a.m. with a depth of 31 kilometers.
Intensity I was felt in Pasuquin, Ilocos Norte, while instrumental Intensities IV and I were recorded in Calayan, Cagayan and Pasuquin, Ilocos Norte, respectively.
