MANILA – Police arrested four suspects, including two high-value individuals (HVI), and seized over PHP11 million worth of narcotics in separate operations in the cities of Mandaluyong and Taguig.

In a report, Southern Police District director Brig. Gen. Bernard Yang said the suspects, identified as alias Alvin, 27, and alias Miracle, 15, female, were both arrested in a buy-bust operation shortly after midnight on Tuesday at a parking lot of a mall in Taguig City.

Both suspects who were identified as HVIs yielded 600 grams of shabu with an estimated street value of PHP4.08 million, buy-bust money, caliber 9mm with an inserted magazine and live ammunition confiscated from alias Alvin, and a mobile phone.

The arrested suspects will be facing violation of Section 5 and Section 11, under Article II of Republic Act (RA) 9165 and RA 10591 (illegal possession of firearms).

Meanwhile, Eastern Police District officer in charge Col. Villamor Tuliao said suspects John Fitz Salazar and Alison Mae Reyes were arrested in a buy-bust around 9:30 p.m. Monday along San Rafael St., Barangay Plainview, Mandaluyong City.

The suspects yielded 5 kg. of suspected high grade marijuana with an estimated street value of PHP7.5 million.

An investigation is underway as authorities are gathering intelligence information to identify additional suspects, Tuliao said.

The suspects are currently detained at the Mandaluyong Police Custodial Facility and will be facing drug charges. (PNA)
