MANILA  (Mabuhay) – A regional trial court of Manila has stopped the Bureau of Customs from cancelling the P650-million contract on the Integrated Customs Processing System.

The Omnibus Order from the Manila Regional Trial Court-Branch issued the preliminary injunctioni on Monday, Aug. 24.

Copies of the order were released to reporters at a press conference on Tuesday regarding the controversial move of the BOC to inspect balikbayan boxes.

A source at the BOC said that Commissioner Alberto Lina is not in a position to comment on the matter the burea hasn’t yet received a copy of the decision. (MNS)
