CEBU CITY – A father, his girlfriend and his son were arrested Tuesday in a sting operation, and yielded a total of PHP1.7 million worth of suspected shabu.
The 51-year-old suspect was the subject of the buy-bust operation conducted by the operatives from the Cebu City police station 11 along Fatima St. in Barangay Duljo-Fatima this city, but the suspect’s 48-year-old girlfriend was with him, along with his 31-year-old son.
During the operation, the father and son yielded a large pack with a white substance believed to be shabu weighing 252 grams, while the girlfriend yielded smaller packs of illegal drugs.
The trio are now in the custody of the Mambaling Police Station as drug charges are being prepared against them.
Meanwhile, a 51-year-old e-bike driver yielded a total of PHP326,000 worth of suspected shabu during a buy-bust operation in the coastal village of Tejero in this city.
The suspect is in the custody of the Waterfront Police and is facing charges of sale and possession of illegal drugs as punished under Republic Act 9165 or Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (PNA)
