CAMP ALEJO SANTOS, Bulacan – Anti-illegal drug operatives scored a major win in their campaign against illegal drugs, arresting two high-value individuals (HVIs) and seizing over PHP1 million worth of shabu in separate operations in Bulacan and Nueva Ecija within the last 24 hours.
The total haul across both operations, which took place from Tuesday evening to Wednesday morning, amounted to around 158.7 grams of shabu valued at PHP1,079,500.
In Bulacan, Bocaue Special Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) personnel successfully nabbed alias “Casper,” 30, at around 7 p.m. Tuesday along MacArthur Highway in Barangay Caingin, Bocaue. Authorities seized 103 grams of suspected shabu worth PHP700,400.
Meanwhile, in Nueva Ecija, joint operatives of the San Antonio Municipal Police Station’s SDEU and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) arrested alias “Au,” 44, during a buy-bust operation early Wednesday morning in Barangay San Mariano, San Antonio. Confiscated from the HVI were 55.75 grams of suspected shabu valued at PHP379,100.
Brig. Gen. Ponce Rogelio Peñones Jr., Regional Director of PRO-3, lauded the operatives for their quick and well-executed operations.
“These arrests send a strong message that PRO-3 remains steadfast in our commitment to rid Central Luzon of illegal drugs,” Peñones said. “This is not just a police accomplishment —it is a victory for the communities we serve.”
Peñones said these accomplishments reflect the strategic guidance of acting Chief PNP, Lt. Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr., who prioritizes the intensification of anti-criminality operations. (PNA)
