MANILA – Operatives from the Police Regional Office (PRO) 11 (Davao) has confiscated PHP3.2 million worth of shabu from two suspects at the Purok 2, Barangay Lacson, Calinan, Davao City.
In a statement on Monday, PRO 11 Director Brig. Gen. Leon Victor Rosete said the two suspects, identified as “Ron-Ron” and “Je-Je,” were intercepted around 12:20 p.m. Sunday while traveling in a white Nissan Navara with plate number JAS 8041.
During a plain view inspection, authorities discovered a large white cellophane containing five transparent plastic bags of suspected shabu on the passenger seat floor, along with PHP10,000 in cash.
The arrested suspects are now under the custody of Calinan Police Station (PS10), Davao City Police Office (DCPO), for proper documentation and the filing of appropriate charges.
Rosete commended the personnel from 2nd City Mobile Force Company (2nd CMFC), Calinan Police Station (PS10) and Task Force Davao for the accomplishment.
He also underscored the unwavering dedication of the PNP, together with the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and other law enforcement bodies, to safeguarding communities and intensifying the fight against illegal drugs in the region. (PNA)
