DAVAO CITY – Authorities arrested two suspects and confiscated PHP818,720 worth of suspected shabu at the Sirawan checkpoint here Monday, the Police Regional Office in Davao Region (PRO-11) reported.
In a statement posted on Facebook, PRO-11 Director Brig. Gen. Leon Victor Rosete said the suspects’ car was flagged down for inspection and one of the officers spotted a small plastic sachet containing suspected shabu.
A total of eight square-shaped, heat-sealed, transparent plastic sachets were seized from the suspects, who were taken to the Toril Police Station.
“I commend the vigilance of the duty personnel, especially the one who spotted the substance,” Rosete said.
He added the successful operation showed the relentless anti-drug campaign of PRO-11 in coordination with the Armed Forces of the Philippines and other law enforcement agencies. (PNA)
