MANILA, Jan 24 (Mabuhay) — Malacañang on Saturday wished good luck for Mary Jean Lastimosa, the Philippines’ bet in this year’s Miss Universe pageant.

Deputy presidential spokesperson Abigail Valte said social media has been abuzz over Lastimosa’s representing the Philippines in the tilt.

“Truly we wish her luck,” she said on government-run dzRB Radyo ng Bayan.

Lastimosa will not be the only Filipino to get the spotlight at this year’s pageant – boxing icon and Sarangani Rep. Emmanuel “Manny” Pacquiao will be one of the judges.

Other judges in the 63rd Miss Universe pageant include:

– Kristin Cavallari, TV host and shoe designer
– William Levy, TV and film actor previously named People En Espanol’s Sexiest Man Alive
– Lisa Vanderpump, star of “Vanderpump Rules” and “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills”
– Louise Roe, fashion journalist, author, host of “Plain Jane” on MTV International and the upcoming TLC fashion series, “Style By Jury”. (MNS)
