MANILA, June 2 (Mabuhay) –The Department of Health (DOH) on Wednesday registered 126 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the nationwide caseload to 3,690,707.

The new cases brought the country’s active case count to 2,320, a slight decrease from 2,415 reported on Tuesday.

The Health department said the top regions with cases in the recent two weeks were the National Capital Region with 1,060; Region IV-A with 395; and Region III with 255.

More individuals also recovered from the viral disease, increasing the country’s recovery tally to 3,627,932.

The number of deaths remained at 60,455.

A total of 21,177 individuals were tested, while 328 testing laboratories submitted data as of May 31.

Meanwhile, the nationwide bed occupancy rate also slightly increased to 17% from the earlier 16.6%.  The number of beds occupied were 5,256 while 25,679 were vacant. (MNS)
