MANILA – The Philippine National Police – Drug Enforcement Group (PDEG) seized nearly PHP44 million worth of narcotics in November.
In a statement Wednesday, PDEG chief Brig. Gen. Eleazar Matta said the amount includes 4.9 kg. of shabu, 46,800 pieces of fully grown marijuana plants, 6.3 kg. of dried marijuana leaves and 230 ml of marijuana oil.
He said the illegal drugs were seized in 62 operations, which also led to the arrest of 63 drug suspects.
Matta commended his staff’s dedication to protecting communities and upholding a humane and rights-based approach to law enforcement.
“Their relentless pursuit of justice and commitment to professionalism are integral to our mission to rid the country of illegal drugs while respecting the rights and dignity of every individual,” Matta said. (PNA)
