LEGAZPI CITY – The Naga City Police Office has created a special investigation team to probe the killing of a lady doctor found dead inside a parked car in Naga City.
In a media statement on Tuesday, Naga City director, Col. Erwin Rebellon, said the special team would ensure the speedy investigation into the death of Dr. Rajean Monnette Romualdez, 36, of Metro Manila and a doctor at the Bicol Medical Center.
According to the initial report, the victim suffered a gunshot wound and was discovered dead inside a parked car along Princeton St., near the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) office and Bicol Medical Center in Naga City on Sunday (Feb. 16).
Naga City Police Office is still gathering evidence including CCTV footage and statements from the victim’s family and acquaintances to piece together events leading to the victim’s death.
“Patuloy ang paghahanap sa itinuturing na person of interest. Hindi tayo titigil hanggat hindi nahuhuli ang salarin (The search for the person of interest is ongoing. We will not stop until the culprit is caught),” he said. (with a report from Valerie Olaño, OJT/PNA)
