EVEN though he has a solid career and earning good money from show business, actor Rocco Nacino wants to study medicine and become a medical doctor.
In a recent interview, the 27-year-old actor said that after he graduated from college and passed the Nursing Board Exam in June 2009, his initially planned to pursue a career in the medical profession.
But his changed his direction when showbiz projects started to pour in and said that he couldn’t say no to those once in a lifetime opportunity.
“It’s my fourth year and ang daming blessings kaya mas lalo kong minamahal itong trabaho ko. At this point in my career, I think medicine will have to wait,” he said.
Nacino said he is saving money so that he could enroll himself in medical school.
“That’s exactly what I’m doing. I believe kasi na whatever age you want to continue it, as long as you have the foundation, magagawa mo talaga yan,” he said.
The actor said age is not a problem as he is planning to continue his education in his late 30’s.
“It doesn’t matter whatever age yan. I keep in mind that showbiz is not forever. Kaya kailangan ipon ng ipon muna. Andoon siya this whole time, yung fire and determination to reach that goal, to be a doctor,” he added.
He said he wants to become a pediatrician.
For now, Nacino said his main priority is his blossoming showbiz career.
The actor added that he is planning to expand his gym business and venture into fight and boxing promotions.
“I’m very happy sa takbo ng career ko ngayon. Marami pa akong gustong gawin. Unti-unti ko pang inaabot lahat. Nasa plano ng lahat ng ito. Sipag at tiyaga lang,” he said. (MNS)
