CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga – A suspected member of the New People’s Army (NPA) with several outstanding warrants of arrest was captured in a joint police operation in Bustos, Bulacan on Saturday.

“Zaldy” was arrested in Barangay Bonga Mayor by agents of the Albay Police Provincial Office’s Provincial Intelligence Unit, Police Regional Office-Central Luzon and other law enforcement agencies.

Authorities confirmed he is facing several criminal charges, including attempted homicide, frustrated and attempted murder, murder, and violation of the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.

The warrants were issued by multiple Regional Trial Courts in Albay.

The suspect will be in police custody until he is turned over to the issuing courts. (PNA)
