MANILA – No one was injured when a training aircraft made an emergency landing in Plaridel, Bulacan on Wednesday, the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) said.

Both the flight instructor and student pilot aboard the Piper Tomahawk with tail no. RP-C1085 were unharmed.

The aircraft, operated by Fliteline Aviation, safely performed a forced landing following an engine failure, the CAAP added.

The Philippine National Police Air Unit said they received a distress call and responded to the incident at 9:45 a.m.

The CAAP said a probe is underway to determine the cause of the engine malfunction. (PNA)
