MANILA – Unbeaten Filipino power-puncher Weljon “Triggerman” Mindoro added another explosive finish to his already-stellar highlight reel.
Mindoro delivered a devastating first-round knockout over previously unbeaten Mexican Omar Gutierrez Munguia in San Antonio, Texas on the undercard of the Michael Angeletti vs. Eros Correa event.
The 25-year-old punching machine needed just under two minutes to get the job done at Tech Port Arena on Sunday (Manila time).
A punishing left hook to the body connected on Munguia, before a perfectly timed right uppercut to the jaw sealed the deal, sending the Mexican crashing to the canvas — and Mindoro’s growing legend into overdrive.
Mindoro improved his spotless record to 14-0, all by knockout, reinforcing his status as one of the most dangerous rising middleweights in the sport.
Fighting under Viva Promotions, led by Brendan Gibbons, son of MP Promotions chief Sean Gibbons, Mindoro continues to turn heads with his explosive power and killer instinct. (PNA)
