MANILA, June 11 (Mabuhay)– The US Embassy in the Philippines on Thursday announced that it is cancelling all immigrant and non-immigrant visa interviews scheduled through July 3 due to the community quarantine implemented to slow the spread of COVID-19 in the country.

“We will resume routine visa services as soon as possible but are unable to provide a specific date at this time. We appreciate your patience and understanding,” the US Embassy in Manila said in a statement. See Facebook post.

Likewise, the embassy said that after the community quarantine is lifted in Metro Manila, all affected applicants should reschedule their visa interviews through their call center by phone at +63 (2) 7792-8988 or +63 (2) 8548-8223, or through the online appointment system at ustraveldocs.com/ph.

“There is no fee to change an appointment and visa application fees are valid for one year in the country where the fee was paid,” the embassy added.  (MNS)
