Robin Padilla was repeatedly asked about the real score between his daughter Kylie Padilla, and his daughter’s leading man in the movie “Dilim,” actor Rayver Cruz, during the premiere night of the horror movie on Monday.
The action star, however, just kept smiling and declined to talk to reporters. Instead, Padilla’s wife, TV host Mariel Rodriguez, was the one who answered the question.
“Wala kaming alam diyan. Basta nandito kami for the movie. Siguro lahat naman talaga, ‘yun ang gusto. Lahat ng magulang, gusto nila ang mga anak nila, career muna,” she said.
Padilla and Rodriguez said both of them attended the premiere night not to talk about Kylie’s personal life but to support the movie.
Meanwhile, Padilla admitted that he is Kylie’s biggest critic.
“Lagi naman akong critic niyan, pero magandang klaseng critic. Siyempre magulang ako so kung ano ‘yung ikagaganda, yun lagi ang sasabihin ko. Kapag pangit, sasabihin ko pangit,” he said.
Padilla said it is his role to guide his children not just in their personal lives but also in their careers.
“Nandito ako for Kylia as [a father and as a critic]. Walang ibang magsasabi sa kanya kung ano ang tama at mali kundi magulang,” he said.
Despite his own busy schedule due to his upcoming biopic “Bonifacio: Ang Unang Pangulo,” Padilla said he really made sure to watch Kylie’s movie. (MNS)
