MANILA – University of Santo Tomas downed Ateneo de Manila University, 22-16, on Thursday to remain unbeaten in the UAAP Season 88 U19 boys’ 3×3 basketball at Ayala Malls Manila Bay in Parañaque City.

Joaqui Ludovice scored 13 points, built on four deuces, in leading the Tiger Cubs to a 4-0 slate, moving to within a win of securing a semis slot.

Kirk Cañete, Jettlee Melano, and Charles Esteban added three points each.

Meanwhile, De La Salle-Zobel, National University-Nazareth School, and Far Eastern University-Diliman beat separate rivals to share second place at 3-1.

Niño Ferrer scored 12 points in powering DLSZ to a 21-18 victory over Adamson University; NUNS banked on Mhieko Natinga to prevail over University of the East, 21-15; while Adrian Alagaban delivered 14 points as FEU-D demolished University of the Philippines Integrated School (UPIS), 21-10.

In the girls’ division, NUNS drubbed Ateneo, 21-9, while UST beat DLSZ, 16-10.

In the U16 category, FEU-D relied on Dwayne Enriquez, Dwayne Cañete, and James Chavez to conquer UE, 20-16, for a 4-0 card.

Dave Regala and CJ Tabbuga combined for 15 points as UST demolished DLSZ, 22-8, for second place at 3-1.

NUNS shocked defending champion Ateneo, 21-16, while Adamson whipped UPIS. 21-9.

DLSZ, NUNS, Ateneo, and Adamson have similar 2-2 records. (PNA)
