SHARIFF AGUAK, Maguindanao del Sur – Police operatives are hunting down two persons of interest who killed one motorcycle mechanic and hurt three others in a gun attack here on Thursday afternoon.

Capt. Steffi Salanguit, spokesperson of Police Regional Office-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region, identified the fatality as Norjahir Nangka, 21. Injured were Hashim Unos, 21; Usman Kambal, 32; and Jaher Angeles, 25, all fellow motorcycle mechanics and residents of Barangay Poblacion 1 here.

Salanguit said two suspects on a motorbike arrived in front of Pitsbike Motor Parts and Repair shop at 2:18 p.m., located on the national highway.

“The back-rider opened fire, using a 9mm pistol, fatally hitting one victim and wounding three others, before scampering to various directions,” Salanguit said in a phone interview Friday.

Nangka was pronounced dead on arrival at the Bangsamoro hospital in this town.

Police posted on social media the actual shooting captured on a closed-circuit security camera, asking the public to help identify the perpetrators.

Police investigators are still determining the motive behind the attack. (PNA)
